Function of centrifugal blower aeration in sewage treatment
2020/8/26
In sewage treatment process, centrifugal blower is an important equipment in aeration system, and the power consumption of blower accounts for 50~70% of the total power consumption of sewage treatment plant. Air input in sewage treatment blast aeration is mainly to achieve two functions:

Oxygenation:
Activated sludge treatment of sewage is an aerobic biological treatment method. It is necessary to rely on aerobic microorganisms to absorb the organic matter in the water, and oxidize and decompose to form carbon dioxide and water, at the same time, it can multiply itself. In this process, it is necessary to provide enough dissolved oxygen to the microorganisms in activated sludge to meet the needs of microbial growth and metabolism. Blasting aeration firstly realizes the oxygen transportation process, which transfers the oxygen in the air to the water through air-water contact. Therefore, the calculation of air volume in blast aeration is based on the oxygen demand of microorganisms, combined with environmental conditions, water quality conditions, aeration efficiency and other transfer influencing factors.

Secondly, stirring and mixing:
In the process of stirring and mixing, on the one hand, the activated sludge is suspended in the aeration tank and fully contacted with sewage, which enhances the mass transfer conditions of pollutants in the water treatment system and improves the treatment effect. On the other hand, it provides good conditions for diffusion and transfer of oxygen in liquid phase.

In terms of blower, aeration equipment, water pump and other products, the selection of efficient and durable equipment can save energy by 15~20% for each sewage plant. At the same time, with the continuous maturity of technology, the application scale of air suspension fan market will become larger and larger, and the popularization of air suspension fan will directly affect the electricity saving and economic benefits in the sewage treatment process.
